DIMITAR Tennis & Pickleball Academy is a boutique training destination dedicated to personalized, one-on-one instruction. Founded by Dimitar Yazadzhiev, a seasoned coach with a strong competitive background, the academy blends elite racquet-sport training with world-class hospitality.

Dimitar brings over 35 years of coaching experience, including 10 years at a renowned tennis academy and 16 years leading his own academy in Santa Barbara. Alongside this, he has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, working in top hotels and resorts — OJAI Valley Inn and HILTON Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, ensuring every player receives not just elite instruction, but an exceptional guest experience.

Unlike large group programs or clinics, the academy specializes in private lessons and immersive one- to two-week intensive training programs, tailored to each individual’s goals. Training focuses on technique, strategy, fitness, and mental toughness — all delivered with the precision of a coach and the care of a hospitality professional.

DIMITAR YAZADZHIEV

With over 35 years of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for racquet sports, Dimitar Yazadzhiev has dedicated his career to helping athletes unlock their full potential. His journey includes 10 years Tennis Director at WEIL Tennis Academy and more than 16 years leading his own academy in HILTON Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, where he has worked successfully with players of all ages and levels — from beginners discovering the game to seasoned athletes seeking peak performance.

Dimitar has also represented Bulgaria as a National Player in the 50+ division, competing twice at the European Pickleball Championships in England and Italy, showcasing his high-level competitive experience in both tennis and pickleball.

What sets Dimitar apart is his rare combination of elite coaching expertise and over 25 years in the hospitality industry, working in luxury hotels and resorts - OJAI Valley Inn and HILTON Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort. This unique background allows him to deliver not only high-performance training but also a world-class, service-driven environment where every athlete feels valued, supported, and inspired.
